The official language of the FRM2023 is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the whole working area in the venue.

Visa Requirements

Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We suggest you contact your local Portuguese Representant for official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that may apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Official Letter of Invitation

Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent upon request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organising Committee or FRM2023 to provide any financial assistance.
An invitation letter is available on the registration platform once you have completed your registration for the FRM 2023.

Insurance and Liability

The Conference organiser shall not be held liable for personal injury or any loss or damage to the belongings of conference participants, either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Telephone Code

To call Algarve from abroad please dial the appropriate international code, e.g. 00, then dial the area code for Portugal 351. Mobile phone numbers carry the prefix 9 and prefixes 2.  

To call a foreign country from Algarve, please dial the international code 00, then the country area code, the city area code (if applicable) and, finally, the telephone number of the subscriber.

The Health Line 24 ensures triage, counselling, and referral in situations of illness. For clinical contact, available 24 hours a day, every day. For administrative (non-clinical) contact, from 8 am to 10 pm, every day.

Currency

The Portuguese currency is the Euro. Credit cards (Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard) are accepted in most shops, and ATMs (ATM or MultiBanco) are widely available across Algarve. You can use Visa, Visa Electron, Plus, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro and Cirrus branded cards to withdraw money from an ATM. Portugal ATMs require 4-digit pin codes.

Electricity

As in most regions of continental Europe, the electricity voltage in Algarve is 220 V. Electrical outlets are standard European.

Time Zone

The time zone in Algarve is UTC±00:00 (Greenwich Mean Time, GMT). Please note at the event date Portugal will be in the time zone UTC+01:00 (British Summer Time), so that mornings have one hour less daylight, and evenings one hour more.

Climate

The average maximum temperature in Algarve in May is about 23°C (73.4°F) and the average minimum temperature is 15°C (59°F). You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day.

Dress Code

Participants are advised to wear business casual for all FRM functions and programmes.

Guest Attendance Policy

All event activities are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event’s scientific areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Supervised minors and invited adults may, in special instances, have access to the FENS Regional Meeting 2023. Such access will be granted case by case by the organisers. Inside and around the FRM venue, infants and small children of registered delegates (or similar) may access the premises under the sole responsibility and constant supervision of a registered parent and/or designated caretaker.

There is also the possibility to register an ‘accompanying person’ – a person 18 years-old or older that will not attend any of the scientific sessions.

Food and Beverage

Within the scope of FRM 2023, we want to provide you the best experience. We know that food is a fundamental part of the experience and, for that reason, we have a lunch pack at your disposal, which will allow you to guarantee, in advance, all meals during the congress. This pack will allow you to avoid queues and long waiting times to eat.

Additionally, a Gala Dinner will be served, where all participants will have the opportunity to socialise and experience the best gastronomic experience at the Algarve.
