Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We suggest you contact your local Portuguese Representant for official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that may apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or FRM2023 to provide any financial assistance.

Insurance and Liability
The Conference organizer shall not be held liable for personal injury or any loss or damage to the belongings of conference participants, either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
To call Algarve from abroad please dial the appropriate international code, e.g. 00, then dial the area code for Portugal 351. Mobile phone numbers carry the prefix 9 and prefixes 2.

The Health Line 24 ensures triage, counselling, and referral in situations of illness. For clinical contact, available 24 hours a day, every day. For administrative (non-clinical) contact, from 8 am to 10 pm, every day.
The Portuguese currency is the Euro. Credit cards (Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard) are accepted in most shops, and ATMs (ATM or MultiBanco) are widely available across Algarve. You can use Visa, Visa Electron, Plus, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro and Cirrus branded cards to withdraw money from an ATM. Portugal ATMs require 4-digit pin codes.
As in most regions of continental Europe, the electricity voltage in Algarve is 220 V. Electrical outlets are standard European.
The time zone in Algarve is UTC±00:00 (Greenwich Mean Time, GMT). Please note at the event date Portugal will be in the time zone UTC+01:00 (British Summer Time), so that mornings have one hour less daylight, and evenings one hour more.
The average temperature maximum temperature in Algarve in May about 23°C (73.4°F) and the minimum temperature is 15°C (59°F). You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day.
Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Forum functions and programmes.
Guest Attendance Policy
All event activities are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event scientific areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
