FENS Travel Grants for the FENS Regional Meeting 2023

FENS offers travel grants for early career researchers to attend the FENS Regional Meeting 2023. Organised by the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience with the support of FENS, the FRM 2023 will take place in person on 3-5 May 2023 in Algarve, Portugal. The FRM 2023 travel grants amount to a maximum of EUR 750, depending on the proximity to the event location.

SPN Travel Grants for the FENS Regional Meeting 2023

SPN will support the participation of early career SPN members who will present their work at the FRM2023 as follows:

International Travel Award (For SPN members working abroad):

  • 5 PhD Students
  • 5 Post-doctoral Fellows (Postdoc fellowship or Junior Researcher level max 8 years post-PhD)

(Award: 500€)

National Travel Award (For SPN members working in Portugal):

  • 5 MSc or MSc Students
  • 10 PhD Students
  • 10 Post-doctoral Fellows (Postdoc fellowship or Junior Researcher level max 8 years post-PhD)

(Award: value of registration fee)

Eligibility:

– Applicants must be SPN members (with no overdue membership fees)

– Applicants must have submitted their work to the FRM2023

You are not eligible to apply to the same travel grant typology if you have received SPN support for attending the FENS Forum 2022.

Please note that duplicate funding is not allowed for the international travel awards. Once accepting the travel award a declaration must be signed stating that there is no other funding to participate in the FRM2023.

FRM23 Organization Travel Grants funded by IBRO

There will be available travel grants by the FRM23 Organization for PhD students to attend and present their work at the FENS Regional Meeting 2023.

These travel grants funded by IBRO will support the participation as follows:

International Travel Award (working outside Portugal):

  • 5 PhD Students

(Award: 500€)

National Travel Award (working in Portugal):

  • 10 PhD Students

(Award: value of registration fee)
